The Wind on Fire is a fantasy trilogy by British author William Nicholson, The first book, The Wind Singer won the 2000 Nestlé Smarties Book Prize and the Blue Peter Best Book Award for "The Book I Couldn't Put Down".

The trilogy follows the life of the Hath family, who live in a world similar to ours, but unrelated to it. The Haths are part of the Manth people, a once wandering tribe of people who have settled in Aramanth, but when the city is razed to the ground, the Manths continue their journey for their homeland, finally finding it at the end of the third book.
