Front covers of first editions of books in the Chronicles of Narnia series.
The Chronicles of Narnia is a series of seven fantasy novels by C.S. Lewis. Some of the books in the series have recently been adapted into three films.
The books take place in the magical world of Narnia, containing mythical beings and creatures, talking animals, and warriors. The books are about different children who enter this world from ours by curious means and help to solve various problems that occur throughout Narnia. The only exception is The Horse and his boy, which is set only in Narnia and focus more on characters from the land of Narnia.
On a minor note: the books were not intended to cover all the major events in Narnia, as they were written to cover only Narnia's most important events like its creation, its ending and Aslan's visits.
