Kiran Desai (born September 3, 1971) is an Indian author (born 1971) who won the Man Booker Prize for her second book The Inheritance of Loss in 2006. Her mother, Anita Desai has also been short listed for this prize.
Her first book was Hullabaloo in the Guava Orchard.
