The Inheritance cycle Was planned to be a trilogy.It is a series of four high fantasy books, written by homeschooled author Christopher Paolini. The protagonist is Eragon, a young man who discovers a special "stone". The story involves kingdoms, evil beings, dragons, and magic.

The first three books are titled Eragon, Eldest and Brisingr.
