Horrible Histories is the name of a series of humorous non-fiction books for children, wriiten by Terry Deary with illustrations by Martin Brown. The books are described as history "with the nasty bits left in". In spite of their humorous approach and the limited amount of text in them, the books are factually accurate and informative. They have been credited with inspiring many children who had not previously been engaged by books to take an interest in reading.

A children's television series based on the books has been broadcast by the BBC since 2009.
