'The Book Thief (ISBN 9780375842207) is a multiple award-winning historical fiction novel aimed primarily at children and young adults by Australian author Markus Zusak. It was first published in Australia in 2005 and published worldwide in 2006. A film based on the novel was released in 2013.
Plot[]
The Book Thief is narrated by Death and is about a young girl in Nazi Germany who he feels a connection with. The novel describes Liesel Meminger's relationship with her foster parents, the other residents of their neighborhood, and a Jewish fist-fighter who hides in her home during World War II.
